Daigle Clyde Lirette Clyde James Lirette, Rte. 1 Box 362, Montegut, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 11:15 pm at Montegut. He was 73. He is survived by his sons, Elmer Lirette of Montegut and Curtis and Donald Lirette of Bourg; his daughters, Mrs. Roland (Gloria) Henry of Montegut, and Mrs. Leroy (Barbara) Price and Mrs. Andrew (Ernestine) Pitre of Bourg; his brothers, Leward Lirette of Pensacola, Fla., and Roy Lirette of Bourg; his sister Mrs. Paul (Stella) Ellender of Bourg; 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 8 at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday, Nov. 7 at 3 pm. Daigle Morris Matherne Des Allemands Boating Accident Kills Man Wed. Morris Pierre Matherne, native of Gheens and resident of Des Allemands, died Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7:15 pm, as the result of a boating accident at Bayou Des Allemands. He was 62. A retired employee of Otto Candies Inc., Mr. Matherne was the husband of Alta Hogan Matherne and the father of Charles and Morris P. Matherne Jr., Roy and Lynn Hogan, Mrs. Betty Dufrene, Mrs. Geraldine Mahan, Mrs. Beatrice Barbier, Mrs. Rosalie Beadle, Mrs. Sandra Yokum, Mrs. Fay Powell and Miss Debra Matherne. He is survived by his brothers, Albert, Robert and Tillman Matherne and Whitney Bonvillain; his sisters, Mrs. Bertha Chaisson and Mrs. Lorraine Maclouse; 25 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Mr. Matherne was also the brother of the late Mrs. Marie Commardelle. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 8, at 2 pm at the Assembly of God Church, Des Allemands, with interment to follow in Mennonite Cemetery, Des Allemands. Visitation will begin Thursday, Nov. 7, at 5 pm at the Assembly of God Church. Savoie, Rte. 5 Box 284, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 9 pm at a local nursing (home) at the age of 91. He was a native and resident of Bayou Blue. He was the son of the late Mr. Theophile Savoie and Octavie Caro Savoie and the brother of Miss Laura and Miss Azalle Savoie, and the late Mrs. Meloe Chauvin and Mr. Cyprien, Mr. Edward, Mr. Homer, Mr. Peter, Mr. Isaac and Mr. Edwin Savoie. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov 7 at 3 pm from Chauvin Funeral Home to St. Louis Catholic Church, Bayou Blue.
