Daigle Ernestine Bourg Ernestine Savoie Bourg, 88 died Thursday Apr 24 at 11:30 p.m. at a Morgan City nursing home. She was the wife of the late Willie Bourg and the daughter of the late Joachim Savoie Sr. and the late Marie Hotard. She is survived by her son Willard Bourg, Houma; her daughters, Mrs. Mary Bergeron, Bourg, and Mrs. Beulah Lovell, Houma; and her sister Laura Broussard. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded by her daughter Mrs. Lillian Eschete Bourg, her sisters, the late Mrs. Howard Rhodes, Mrs. Walter White, Mrs. Oscar Georgy and Mrs. Randolph Hornsby. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Apr 26 from Chauvin Funeral Home, Chauvin to St Joseph Catholic Church, Chauvin for religious services at 11 am. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:30 Friday, Apr 25. ========================================= Houma Courier, April 25, 1975 Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Alfred Gissing Alfred W. Gissing, 69, died April 24 at 10:55 _m. He was the husband of Mrs. Hilda Prejean Gissing and the father of Mrs. Geenie W. Beene, Tucson, Ariz. He is survived by two grandchildren, William and Lorrie Beene. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. Friday, April 24. Daigle Antoine Stewart Antoine Stewart was born in Houma June 4, 1896 and died Sunday, April 20 in a local nursing home, Harvey, LA He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church for many years and served on the Usher Board. He was married to Miss Evelena Jackson, Dec. 24, 1923. She preceded him in death. There were no children but were godparents to many. He enlisted in the service of the Army during World War I as a private 1st class and served time overseas. Survivors include many cousins and friends. Visitation will be Friday, April 25 at New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Saul Thomas, pastor, presiding. The service has been scheduled for 3 p.m. =========================================================================
