Mrs. Ledet was staying with a daughter at Rte. 2, Bayou Blue at the time of her death. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will follow at St. Francis No. 1 Cemetery. Mrs. Ledet was the widow of Leonce H. Ledet and mother of Kerregan, Gordon and Loyal Ledet of Houma, L. H. and Charles Ledet of Gretna, Mrs. Evelyn Belanger, Mrs. Mary Lou Patterson and Mrs, Carold Gold, of Houma, and Mrs Beverly Curry of Gretna. Mrs. Ledet was sister of Edward Goetz of Wharton, Tex., and Lillian Guillot of Thibodaux. Other survivors include 24 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements. ============================== Houma Courier Oct. 3, 1976 p.12 Col 1 Submittwd by: Chris Tidwell ELVIN JEFFERY LEDET Elvin Jeffery Ledet, a native and resident of Golden Meadow, died Saturday [Oct. 2, 1976], in New Orleans at 8:40 a.m. He was 63 years old. Arrangements were incomplete at present time. Services will be held Monday morning from Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano to Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow. Interment will follow in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and will continue until the still as yet undetermined funeral time. Mr. Ledet is survied by seven children, seven brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. ==============================
