Visitation at Chauvin Funeral Hone begins today at 5 p.m. and will continue until 10 p.m., resuming tomorrow, from 8 a.m. until funeral time. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, followed by interment in St. Francis de SalesNo. 2, cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roy Ray Cole, Rhea of Morgan City; two sisters, Ruby and Valerie Fields, both of Houma; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Boyne; her parents, Arthur Lawrence Fields and Josephine Rogers; one son, Bert Boyne; four brothers, Magnus, Earl, Lawrence and Cyrus Fields and one sister, Beulah Fields. Daigle Correction Sylvia Madere In the obituary of Sylvia Champagne Madere that appeared in Monday's edition of the Courier, suicide was reported to have been the cause of death. The cause of death, however, has not yet been established by the coroner in St. Charles Parish. ============================ Houma Courier, Aug. 30, 1977 Submitted by Cynthia F. Daigle Virgie Guillot Vergie Lee Guillot, a native and resident of Thibodaux, was pronounced dead on arrival at Thibodaux General Hospital Monday, Aug. 29 at 9:30 p.m. According to the funeral home, the cause of death was from a gunshot would apparently self-inflicted. She was 44. Visitation at Thibodaux Funeral Home begins today at 4 p.m. and will continue until funeral time. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, followed by interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. She was the wife of Harry J. Guillot, Sr. She is also survived by two sons, Gary and Harry Guillot, Jr.; three daughters, Janice and Nancy Guillot and Mrs. Russell Grace Benoit; two brothers, Irvin and Irby Alleman; two sisters, Mrs. Roland Delatte, Sr. and Mrs. Clebert Guidry and three grandchildren. Daigle Emory Leger Montegut Man Found Dead A 33-year-old Montegut man was found shot to death in his home this morning, the apparent victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Emory Leger of 113 Canal Street, Montegut, had locked himself in his home. Daigle Gloria Joyce Savoie Gloria Joyce Savoie, native and resident of Gheens, died Sunday, Aug 28 at 6:15 p.m. in New Orleans. She was 48. Visitation at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland begins today at 5 p.m. and will continue until 11 p.m., resuming tomorrow from 7 a.m. to funeral time. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug 31 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by religious services at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. She is survived by her father Hilbert Savoie Sr.; sons, Scott and Harley Savoie Jr.; daughter, Cassandra Roberts; brothers, Roland, Gerald, Gary and Hilbert Savoie Jr.; sisters, Mrs. Norma Pitre and Mrs. Dorothy Hobbs and one grandson, Harley Roberts lll. Smith, a resident of both Laconia, New Hampshire and Raceland, died Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 12:30 a.m. in Lake Regent General Hospital in Laconia, New Hampshire. He was 73. Services were conducted Thursday, Aug. 25 in Laconia, New Hampshire. He was the husband of Isabelle Naquin Smith. He is also survived by one son, Richard E.
