ACOSTA JR. Clairbone (Skipper) J. Acosta Jr., a resident of Napoleonville, died Oct 8 at 10:30 pm in Houma at the age of 55. He was Sgt. Commander of the Oncale Solar Post 88 of the American Legion, a member of VFW 40 and 8, Assumption council 1099 of the Knights of Columbus and the peace officers. Funeral services were today at 10:45 at the funeral home with religious services following at 11 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Bernida LeBlanc Acosta; two brothers, Minta and Perrere Acosta. He was a Bus Driver for Terrebonne Parish schools. Funeral services are scheduled for Wed Oct. 11 at 10 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, interment will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Ida Bourg Authement; sons, Bruce, Samuel and Edgar Authement of Houma; daughters, Mrs. James (Beverly) Trosclair of Grand Caillou; Mrs. Earl (Bernadette) Dockery of Houma, Mrs. Michael (Agatha) King of Taylor, SC; brothers, Arthur Authement of Houma and Addie Authement of Grand Caillou; sisters, Mrs. Bernice Cancienne of Houma and Mrs. Laulie Prevost of Grand Caillou; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ada Chiasson and Oscar Authement; brother, Edward Authement and sister, Hattie Guidry. Visitation at Chauvin's Funeral Home will begin today at 3 pm and will continue until until 9 pm, resuming at 8 am until funeral time. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 11 am at the Funeral Home Chapel. He is survied by one brother, Claude Richard; and two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Bouterie of Thibodaux and Mrs. Zoe Richard of Lake Charles.
