CLAIRBORNE (SKIPPER) J. ACOSTA JR.

Clairbone (Skipper) J. Acosta Jr., a resident of Napoleonville, 
died Oct 8 at 10:30 pm in Houma at the age of 55.  He was Sgt. 
Commander of the Oncale Solar Post 88 of the American Legion, a 
member of VFW 40 and 8, Assumption council 1099 of the Knights of 
Columbus and the peace officers.
Funeral services were today at 10:45 at the funeral home with 
religious services following at 11 am at St. Ann's Catholic 
Church.  Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Bernida LeBlanc Acosta;  two brothers, 
Minta and Perrere Acosta.
Arrangements are being handled by Landry Funeral Home.

EVOIS JOSEPH AUTHEMENT

Evois Joseph Authement, resident of Rte 6 Box 329 A, died at 
Terrebonne General Hospital at the age of 68.  He was a Bus Driver 
for Terrebonne Parish schools.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wed Oct. 11 at 10 am at Holy 
Family Catholic Church, interment will follow in the church 
cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Bourg Authement;  sons, Bruce, 
Samuel and Edgar Authement of Houma;  daughters, Mrs. James 
(Beverly) Trosclair of Grand Caillou;  Mrs. Earl (Bernadette) 
Dockery of Houma,  Mrs. Michael (Agatha) King of Taylor, SC;  
brothers, Arthur Authement of Houma and Addie Authement of Grand 
Caillou;  sisters, Mrs. Bernice Cancienne of Houma and Mrs. Laulie 
Prevost of Grand Caillou;  18 grandchildren and five great 
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ada Chiasson and Oscar 
Authement;  brother, Edward Authement and sister, Hattie Guidry.
Arrangements handled by Chauvin Funeral Home.

LILY SAVOIE PARR

Lily Savoie Parr a resident of 302 Oak St., died Oct 9 at a local 
nursing home at the age of 77.
Funeral services were today at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10 
am, interment followed in the church cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lucy (Levie) Morici Jr. of 
Raceland.
She was preceded by brothers, Addis, Abel, Morris and Arthur 
Savoie; and sisters, Mrs. Pamela Bourg and Mrs. Zam Falgout

LEWIS PAUL RICHARD

Lewis Paul Richard, a resident of 201 Brooklyn Ave. died Oct. 9 at 
6:20 pm at a local nursing home at the age of 73.
Visitation at Chauvin's Funeral Home will begin today at 3 pm and 
will continue until until 9 pm, resuming at 8 am until funeral 
time.  Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 11 
am at the Funeral Home Chapel.
He is survied by one brother, Claude Richard;  and two sisters, 
Mrs. Oscar Bouterie of Thibodaux and Mrs. Zoe Richard of Lake 
Charles.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harley and Francis 
Richard; and two sisters, Mrs. Ozia Pelligren and Mrs. George 
Raymond.
Arrangements are being handled by Chauvin Funeral Home.
