Daigle VINCENT LAPRESTO Front page of paper Carnival Clubs' Founder Dies Vincent Charles Lapresto, 76, a retired state employee and resident of Terrebonne Parish for 50 years, died 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel, with burial following in Magnolia Cemetery. Mr. Lapresto served as a Louisiana State Trooper for six years, and was an Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Board member and employee. He was an inspector of the Louisiana State Department of Weights and Measures, and served as sergeant-at-arms of the Louisiana Senate until his retirement in 1979, nearly 33 years. Mr. Lopresto was the founder of the Greater Houma Carnival Club, now known as the Krewe of Terreanians. Mrs. Rodrigue was a native and (continued on page 20) resident of Larose. She was employed for 18 years as a nurse's aide at Our Lady of the Sea Hospital in Galliano.
