At Holy Savior, Sister Rita helped to transform the private schools of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception into parochial schools. Visitation will be until 10 p.m. today at the Thibodaux Funeral Home, Thibodaux; resuming 7 a.m. Saturday and continuing until funeral time. The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home, with religious services following 10 a.m. at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, Thibodaux. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Survivors include two brothers, Neville and Yves Himel; and six sisters, Mrs. Edward (Aspazie) Ordoyne, Mrs. Hayes (Lovenia) Guidroz, Mrs. J.E. (Yvonne) Guidry, Mrs. Emile (Anna Lee) Hebert and Mrs. Nolan (Deloria) Landry. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorgeville and Emelia Thibodaux Himel.
