EDDIE BROWN - CORRECTION

Due to misinformation received from family members, inadvertent errors were made 
in the death notice of Eddie Brown appearing in Tuesday's Courier. The wake and 
funeral has been changed to 8 p.m. Friday at St. Matthew Baptist Church, with 
Rev Leonard Celestin conducting services. Dismissal will be 10 a.m. Saturday 
with burial following in Crescent Farms Cemetery. 

The following survivors were omitted a son, Eddie Brown Jr., a stepson, Joseph 
Celestin Roth of Los Angeles, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Martha Camp of 
Bridge City and Mrs. Rebecca Brumfield of Houma.

He is survived by 13 grandchildren, not 12 as previously stated. Richardson 
Funeral Home in River Ridge, not Robertson Funeral Home, is handling 
arrangements.

GERALD CALLAHAN

Gerald Anthony Callahan, 36, died 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. Visitation will be until 10 
p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home, resuming 8 a.m. Thursday and continuing 
until funeral time. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home 
chapel, with burial following in Terrebonne Memorial Park.

Survivors include his parents Lucille Garibaldi and Paul Callahan; a brother, 
Donald Callahan; and a sister, Mary Callahan.  He is preceded in death by his 
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Garibaldi, and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvain Callahan.

LEONA HOTARD

Leona Richoux Hotard, a native of Cut Off and a resident of Westwego for 45 
years, died 11 p.m. Monday. The funeral was scheduled for 4 p.m. today at 
Westside Funeral Home in Marrero, with religious services following in Our Lady 
of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Westwego. Burial will be in the church 
cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas and Alvin Hotard; two daughters, Mrs. Lynn 
(Delores) Bernard and Mrs. Ivan (Emelda) Fourreaux; two brothers, Noah and 
Wilton Richoux; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Bonura; 13 grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by five brothers, Wilford, Elson, Edwin, Eddie and Reed 
Richoux. Westside Funeral Home, Marrero, is handling arrangements.

David Rome of Wilmer, Ala.; his mother, Mrs. Anita Clement of Vacherie; his

Biloxi, Miss, Miss Veronica, Miss Anita and Miss Michelle Rome of Wilmer, Ala.;

Boulevard, Metairie. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home

time. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the mission, with burial

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Glenn C. House Jr. of Houston, Texas; a 
brother, Stephen M. Kenny of Houma; a sister, Mrs. Gilbert J. Scheib of Houma; 
and four grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Maloney Jr.; her parents,

Saturday at Marion County Hospital in Columbia, Miss. Religious services were 
held 1:30 p.m. today at Hollabaugh-Spindle Wooddale Memorial Funeral Home, with 
the Revs. John Merck and Boyd Tweedy. Burial was in the Resthaven Gardens of 
Memory.  Mr. Marcel was a retired carman with the Kansas City Southern Railroad, 
a member of the Comite Baptist Church and a member of the Brotherhood Railway 
Carman of the United States and Canada.

Ala.; a daughter, Marion Elsworth of Columbia, Miss.; a brother, Gunder Marcel

Chauvin Funeral Home, resuming 8 a.m. Monday and continuing until funeral time. 
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel, with burial 
following in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

Survivors include his wife, Odile Oliver; one son, Walter A. Thibodeaux of 
Houma; three daughters, Mrs. Jerraline Thibodeaux Cenac and Mrs. Brenda Gotreau,

Jerusalem Temple Clowns and the Arab Patrol.
