Visitation will be from 4 - 10 pm today at the St. Ann Community Center in Bourg, resuming 9 am Thursday and continuing until funeral time. The funeral will be 3 pm Thursday at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, with burial following in the church cemetery. Survivors include five sons, Donald and Dean Bascle of Houma, Daniel Bascle of Theriot, David and Douglas Bascle of Bourg; five daughters, Mrs. Cyrus (Delores) LeCompte and Mrs. Allen (Diane) Theriot of Houma, Mrs. Calvin (Darlene) Deroche and Mrs. T.O. (Doris) Meeker of Bourg, Mrs. Bernard (Dorothy) Dupre of Montegut; two brothers, Irby Hornsby of Montegut and Raymos Hornsby of Bourg; a sister, Mrs. Spencer (Beryl) McNair of New Orleans; 43 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is preceded by her husband, Marion Andrew Bascle; her parents, Regina Blanchard and Sumner Hornsby; and a brother, Henry Hornsby. Visitation is scheduled from 4:30 to 10 pm today at the St. Landry Funeral Home in Labadieville, resuming at 8 am Thursday and continuing until funeral time. The funeral will be at 10 am Thursday from the funeral home, with religious services following in St. Philomene Catholic Church in Labadieville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Pansy Himel Bourg; his father, John Boaurg; a son, Dalton Bourg; and five sisters, Audrey Bourg, Margaret Scarpula, Rita Templet, Helen Daigle and Virgie LeBrun.
