Shreveport, LA.

Survivors include his wife, Pammy Hofstad of Haynesville, LA; his parents, O.J. 
Hofstad of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Resine Modisette of Haynesville, 
La.; three step-brothers, Ronald Modisette of Haynesville, La., John and Paul 
Hofstad of Fort Walton Beach, Fla; one sister, Alisa Kiker of Brooksville, Fla; 
one step-sister, Kimberly Hofstad of Fort Walton Beach, Fla; and his 
grandmother, Marie Hofstad of Minnesota.

MARGUERITE SEVIN

Marguerite Marie Sevin, 81, a native of Raceland and a resident of New Orleans 
for the past 40 years, died 4:15 p.m., Friday in New Orleans.

Visitation will be 6-10 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, resuming 8 
a.m. Monday and continuing until funeral time. The funeral will be 9:45 p.m., 
from the funeral home, with religious services following 10 a.m. at St. Mary 
Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include three sisters, Adele Labat, Aline Leathem and Emma Lapyronnl.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Emma Lirette Sevin; three 
brothers, Wilfred, Wilson and Clamire Sevin; and three sisters, Agnes Breaux, 
Ida Sevin and Ella Sevin.

Marguerite Schwabe Waggoner, 85, a native of Germany and resident of Lockport 
for the past 21 years, died 8:45 p.m., Friday in Cut Off, LA. 

Visitation will be noon to funeral time today at Falgout Funeral Home, 
Raceland. The funeral will be 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with burial in 
Barrios Cemetery, Valentine, La.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Dowd; two sisters, Mrs. George 
Novak and Miss Clara Schwabe, both of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren and two 
great-grandchildren.

Funeral and religious services were held earlier todayin Vacherie for Laura 
Amedee Abadie, 73, who died Saturday.

She was the wife of Elmore Abadie; mother of Sister Marie (Marilyn) Abadie and 
Lelmore Abadie; daughter of the late Augustine Amedee and Marie Falgoust.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Mandeville Cemetery.

A native of Raceland and resident of Mandeville for the past 15 years, he was 
the husband of Virginia St. Angelo; father of Dorothy Morrow, Virginia Ducote, 
Geraldine Alavolasite, and George Krall; brother of Mrs. Odette F. Thurman and 
Mrs. Mary F. Kessel of Victoria, Texas, and the late Raymond C. Folse, Rev. 
W.A. Folse, Sarah Alexander, Adella Parish, Hayward, Phillip, Inez and Ida 
Folse; son of the late Julia Hebert and William A. Folse.

sister of Adele Labat, Aline Leathem, Emma Lapeyronnie and the late Mrs. Agnes 
Beaux, Ida, Wilfred, Wilson, Clamire and Ella Sevin; daughter of the late 
Nicholas and Emma Lirette Sevin.

Survivors include her parents, Alvin and Adella Lopez Bourgeois; two sisters, 
Elizabeth and Christina Bourgeois also of Raceland; her grandparents, Mrs.

at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Chauvin. Burial will follow in St. Elie 
Cemetery in Petit Caillou.

of Petit Caillou; four daughters, Mrs. Author (Jeanne) Lapeyrouse of Houma, 
Mrs. Andre (Azelie) Tivet, Mrs. Alden (Flossy) Foret Sr. and Mrs. Clemille 
(Irene) Foret, all of Chauvin; 27 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 2 
great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, the late Mr. John Charpentier;

three sisters, Mrs. Cathryn Ayo, Miss Ursule Dupre and Miss Claudea Dupre; six

Pierce and Michael Shaunders. She is the sister of Mrs. Bertha Anderson, Mrs.

Mrs. Erma Dugas Adams, Norman and Early Clement. She is the daughter of the

Harriet Naquin Chiasson, 79 years, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died 
10:45 p.m. Sunday in Thibodaux. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Survivors include five sons, Paul, Harold and Gene Chiasson of Thibodaux, 
Maurice Chiasson of Ft. Worth, Texas and Roy Chiasson of Oangeburg, South 
Carolina; two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Marie) Bergeron of Thibodaux and Mrs. 
Raymond (Elaine) Constant of Vacherie; two sisters, Mrs. Luke (Irene) Bourg, 
and Mrs. Robert (Cecile Peltier of Thibodaux; and two grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Raoul W. Chiasson; two brothers, Frank

BERNADETTE DUFRENE

Bernadette Falgout Fufrene, 86 years, a resident of Gheens, died 12:10 p.m. 
Sunday in New Orleans. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral 
Home, Inc., Raceland, until 11 p.m. resuming 7 a.m. Tuesday until funeral time. 
The funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home with religious 
services to follow 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be in 
Holy Savior Catholic Church Cemetery, Lockport.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Velma Toups and Mrs. Ella Dupuy; five 
sisters, Mrs. Mercedes Dufrene, Ada Breaux, Lelia Martin, Mecy Falgout and 
Enola Blanchard; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Earl and Carter Dufrene; five brothers, 
Felix, Emile, John, Robert and Charles Falgout; and two sisters, Estell Falgout 
and Selma Pierce. Falgout Funeral Home, Inc. of Raceland is handling 
arrangements.

William (Bill) W. Griffith, age 71, died 5:50 Sunday at Hancock General 
Hospital, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Visitation will be one hour prior to 
funeral. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from Riemann Funeral Home 
Chapel, Hwy. 90 East, Bay St. Louis, MS. Burial is in Logtown Cemetery, MS.

Survivors include one son, William (Billy) W. Griffith Jr. of Houma; five 
daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Jacob of Bay St. Louis, MS, Mrs. Lucy Wheelden of 
Hammond, Mrs. Dee Duhon of Marrero, Mrs. Pattye Eisenhardt of Slidell and Mrs. 
Jane Wallace of Pass Christian, MS; one brother, David Griffith of Pennsacola, 
Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Sharp of Louieville, KY and Mrs. Edith 
Kelser of Burlington, VT; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie Hebert; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie 
Rodrigue; two daughters, Charlotte and Samantha Hebert; one brother, Berchman 
Rodrigue; a meternal grandmother, Mrs. Claude Chiasson and paternal 
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Rodrigue.

EDMOND ORGERON

Funeral services were scheduled for 9 a.m. today at Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, 
for Edmond J. Orgeron Sr. 93, a native of Larose and a resident of Harvey for 
39 years, who died at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. Interment was in Westlawn Memorial 
Park Cemetery.

He was the husband of the late Ada LeBlanc; father of Mrs. Edith Terrebonne, 
Mrs. Rhea Roth, Mrs. Dot Trosclair, Mrs. Clara Engvall, Mrs. Chuckie Hebert, 
Edmond Jr., Edwin, Raymond and C.J. Orgeron, and the late Mrs. Irene Falgout, 
Mabel Orgeron and Mrs. Ida Hebert. 

He was the brother of Mrs. Alyne Luquette, Clement and Roy Orgeron and the late 
Mrs. Alida Adams, Sarah Pierce, Mrs. Valerie Breaux, Alidor Jr., Eugene, Gus 
and Charles Orgeron. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; and 26 great-
grandchildren.

S. LOUISE PITRE

Funeral services were held Saturday at William Betz and Sons Funeral Home, 
Westwego, for S. Louise Pitre, 91, a native of Larose and a resident of 
Westwego for 58 years, who died at 5 p.m. Thursday. 

She was the wife of the late Joseph Pitre; mother of Mrs. Leatrice Poche and 
the late Norma Roberti; sister of the late Eugene, Edmond, Clay, Henry, Armond, 
Octave and Elise Ledet. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-
grandchildren.

in Rosehill Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, W.C. Shepherd; two brothers, Arthur R. and Narie 
J. Hotard; and three sisters, Mrs. Adrian Savoie, Mrs. Kate Gros and Mrs. 
Bonnie Talley.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Isaac and Clifford Hotard; and four 
sisters, Mrs. Isabel Waller, Mrs. Ledie Clouatre, Mrs. Justillia Hebert and 
Mrs. Fannie Sills.
