The funeral will be 10 am Wednesday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever. She is preceded in death by one daughter, Bessie Hue; and one sister, Mrs. Camille Louise Landry. ============================ Houma, newspaper, March 10, 1982, Wednesday Submitted by: Cynthia Fatchett Daigle HUBERT SNEED Hubert Garland Sneed, 61, a native of Carroll County, Ark., died 8:50 am Tuesday at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, New Orleans. He was a World War ll Veteran; a Civil Engineer and Assistant Manager of the Houma District of the Louisiana Land and Exploration Company. He was a charter member of the Bayou Chapter of the LA Engineering Society and had served as it's president. A member of the Board of Directors of the LA Engineering Foundation, he was also a member of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping the LA Land Surveyors Association. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations made to the National Kidney Foundation, P.O. Box 8574, Metarie, LA. The funeral will be 2 pm Thursday from First United Methodist Church, Bayou Black. Burial will be held in the memorial Cemetery, Berryville, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Irene Gleaves Sneed; one son, Donald Sneed of Hattisburg, Miss.; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Thibaut, of Donaldsonville; one sister, Mrs Yvonne Shaws of Marked Tree, Ark.; and three grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, Grace Kirkpatrick and William Sneed; and one brother, Wilburn Sneed.
