ELWARD WRIGHT

Elward Wright, 85, former mayor of Houma, attorney and World War I veteran, died 
at 2:20 p.m. Thursday.

Visitation will be from 2 until 10 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

Burial will follow in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Survivors include three brothers Connely J. and Robert R. Wright, both of Houma, 
and Louis D. Wright of Beaumont, Texas; and one sister, Mrs. Louis (Sarah) 
Sandoz of Port Arthur, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Levie Druilhet and Thomas Elward Wright 
Sr.; two brothers, Paul A. and Kenneth H. Wright; and three sisters, Mrs. 
Francis (Alva) LaRose, Mrs. Kader (Marguerite) Cocke and Marion Wright.

Chauvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
