Daigle JOSEPH AUTHEMENT Joseph Oscar Authement, 97, a native of Raceland and a resident of Cut Off, died 7 pm Sunday in Thibodaux. Visitation will be from 5 pm until 10 pm today and resume 8 am Tuesday until funeral time. The funeral will begin 10:30 am Tuesday at the funeral home with religious services following at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial follows in the church cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Jules, Warren and Elmo Authement; one daughter, Norma Authement Brock; one sister, Celsa Revell of San Bernardino, Calif; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Survivors include four sons, Horace Blanchard of Grand Isle, Nolan Blanchard of Houma, Roland Blanchard of Gretna and Lloyd Blanchard of Montegut; five daughters, Mrs. Hewitt (Iola) Thibodaux, Mrs. Roy (Leola) Thibodaux, Mrs. Wilfred (Lois) LeBoeuf of Chauvin, Mrs. Autrey (Gloria) Thibodaux and Mrs. Holis (Joyce) Smich of Lockport; three sisters, Mrs. Leve Martin Gautreaux, Mrs Loisy White and Mrs Malvina Collins, all of Chauvin; 40 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Blanchard; her parents, Octave Lapeyrouse and Joseph White; two sisters, Louise White and Mrs. Milia Portier; and five brothers, Nicholas, Joe Jr., Linton, Clinton and Dennis White. The funeral will begin 9:45 am Tuesday at the funeral home with religious services following at 10 am at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. Burial follows in the church mausoleum.
