ODESSA FIELDS         

Odessa Margaret Fields, 71, a native of Elsworth, La., and resident of Houma, died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday [3 September 1989].

A Mass of Christian burial was said at 11:30 a.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Burial followed in St. Francis de Sales No. 1 Cemetery.

She is survived by three brothers, Anthony M. Filce, Anton P. Fields of Houma and Roy J. Fields of Petal, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ryder and Agnes Babin Filce; and a sister, Odie Filce.

She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

ALGER CROCHET

Alger J. Crochet, 54, a native of Paincourtville and a resident of Belle
River, La., died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 2 p.m. today at the St. Joseph the 
Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part, La.  Interment will follow in the church mausoleum.  

He is survived by his wife, parents, four sons, three daughters, a brother, 
Seven sisters, 17 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.  

He was preceded in death by a sister, Agele Crochet.  

The family has requested that donations be made to the Hospice of South 
Louisiana in Houma.

Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville is handling the arrangements.
