Daigle Times Picayune GUIDRY, ANGUS ~Veteran~ Navy World War II Angus 'Gus' B. Guidry, a retired diesel mechanic, died Sunday (14 Mar 1993) at West Jefferson MedicalCenter. He was 75. Mr. Guidry was a lifelong resident of Westwego. He Was A retired diesel mechanic for Brown and Root Construction Co. He served in the navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Foret Guidry; a son, Ronald Guidry Sr.; a brother, Hoffman Guidry; two grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Westside Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, followed by a mass at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 Fourth Street in Westwego.
