Ignace Santiny, Jr., 72, a native and resident of Grand Isle, died at 5:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 1994. A religious service was held Saturday at First Baptist Church in grand Isle, and burial followed in Our Lady of the Isle Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Janie Guidry Santiny; sisters Oliva Bradberry and Cora Santiny; step-son Troy Dalfrey; step-daughters Rena Bertrand and Tina Babineaux; and 11 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ceresia Terrebonne Santiny and Ignace Santiny Sr. He was a Jefferson Parish constable for 23 years. ============================================================================= Submitted by: Nancy Wright Houma Courier: October 31. 1994 ROY JOSEPH FIELDS Roy Joseph Fields, 72, a resident and native of Houma, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 1994. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home, Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery (number one). He is survived by his brothers Anthony M. Filce and Alton Paul Fileds [sic] of Houma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ryder Orville and Agnes Babin Fields; sisters: Odessa Fields and Odie Filce.
