Earline Breaux Gervais, 80, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Saturday, 
Feb. 1, 1997.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Tuesday at Landry_s Funeral Home.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, with 
burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Ira John Gervais Sr.; one son, Ira J. Gervais 
Jr.; one daughter, Mrs. Scott (Mary) G. Romero; one sister, Lilly Rose Oncale; 
and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Lelia Webre Breaux; and 
three sisters, Bonnie France, Elmira Riche and Rosa Adams.

GUIDRY, JUNIUS 

Junius Max Guidry Sr., a native of Isle de Jean Charles and resident of 
Thibodaux died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at Falgout 
Funeral Home Chapel in Houma. 

A wake service is scheduled for 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. 
Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with 
burial in St. Eloi Cemetery in Theriot.

He is survived by his second wife, Irene Knight; one son, Junius "Max" Guidry 
Jr.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Merrill Dover; his parents. Arthur 
Anathole and Octavie Hebert Guidry; one daughter, Ann Faye Trosclair; one 
brother, Edward Guidry; four sisters, Clementine Prosperie, and Lena, Edna and 
Odillia Guidry; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.

He was a member of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. He worked as a 
tankerman for Texaco Oil Co.

Andrew Henry "Lucky" Hebert, 96, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Woodland 
Village Healthcare Center, New Orleans, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 
1997.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at 
Thibodaux Funeral Home. 
Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel with 
burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia Granger Hebert, five sons, Shelly, Roland, 
Dooley, Gerald and Daniel Hebert; 10 daughters, Irene Boudreaux, Doris Adams, 
Mildred Albarado, Anabelle Chiasson, Geraldine Boudreaux, Barbara Clement, 
Beverly Naquin, Janet Galliano, Gilda Jackson and Sandra Trosclair; one

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiliam and Cecile Pitre Hebert; seven

Gwen Rau, 48, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 8:26 
p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at 
the funeral home, with 
burial in Rogers Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Charles C. Rau; two sons, Corey D. and Cannon 
M.
Rau; one daughter. Erica R. Marcel; two brothers, Warren Paul and Wayne John 
Ledet; two sisters, Kate L. Phillips and Jenny Ann Ledet; and 10 grandchildren.
    
She was preceded in death by one son, Charles C. Rau III; six brothers, Borne 
Anthony, Berlin Joseph, Walter, Stephen Andrew and Wliace Ledet Jr. and Jimmy 
Ledet Duthu; and one grandchild.

She was a member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church.

She is survived by six sons, Wilton, Reynold, Harold, Larry, Anthony and Johnny 
Vito; two daughters, Cecile Ledet and Helen Benoit; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-
grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her huusban , Arthur Vito, her parents, Mr. and 
Mrs. Augustin Marie Ledet; one son, Jerry Vito; two daughters, Dorothy Vito and 
Lorraine Authement; three brothers, Joe, Elie and Ernest Ledet; four sisters,

Madlyn Falgout Casey, 88, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Thibodaux, 
died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Casey, her parents, Ernest and 
Rosa Matherne Falgout; three brothers, George, Tilman and Jake Falgout; and two 
sisters, Jean F. and Bemice Falgout.

Roland J. Porche, 100, a native Destrehan and former resident of Houma, died 
Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997 in Luling.

Catholic Church in Ocean Springs, Miss. 
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with 
burial in Ballande Cemetery in Ocean Springs.

He is survived by one daughter, Ollie Porche Voelker of Destrehan; one son, 
Gerald Porche of Ocean Springs; three sisters, Ethal Eichmeier, Rebecca Porche 
and Byna Daigle, all of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren; and six great-grand-
children.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Porche.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War I and a member of St. Alphonsus 
Catholic Church.

Evon Suber, 60, a native of Ludlow, Miss., and resident of Pearl, Miss., died 
Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997 in Elkin, N.C.

Funeral services were scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Baldwin-Lee Pearl Chapel, 
with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery in Pearl.

She is survived by her husband. Lee Suber of Pearl; four daughters, Sarah Marie 
Brieden of Houma, Clara Faye Stone of Amelia and Sandra Jean Sarrett and Lisa 
Lea Suber, both of Pearl; two brothers, John A Brovim of Lawrence, and Bobby 
Lee Brown of Richland; one sister, Frances Jewel Brown of Forest; her maternal 
grandmother, Tressie Prestage of Pealahatchie, Miss.; seven grandchildren; one 
stepgrandchildi three great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

Roy Joseph "Snipe" Bergeron, 71, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 1997.

Mass was scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home, with
burial at Terrebonne memorial Park Cemetery. 

He is survived by his friend, Juanita Marcenac; one sister, Mrs. Donald (Betty) 
Dubuisson of Houma: three nephews; and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Paul and Bertha Babin Bergeron; 
and one brother, Earl Bergeron.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War ll, a retired marine electrician for 
J.C. Armature Works and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

Elijah "Robbie" Cook Robinson, 63, a native of Houma and resident of Seattle, 
died Sunday, Feb. 2, 1997.

Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 3, 1997 in Seattle.

He is survived by his daughter, Portia Robinson, two sons, George King and 
Kevin Kirk; his mother, Lubertha Hawkins; two brothers; three sisters; and 
numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herlis Cook; and one broth-
er, Leonard Hawkins.

He is survived by his wife, Cecile Lacobon Guidry; three brothers, Allen, Peter

nieces and nephews who he raised as his own children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Odon and Ophelia Liner Guidry; one 
daughter Mary Jane Guidry; two brothers, Golden and Odon Guidry Jr.; and two 
sisters, Marie Matherne and Flora Mae Guidry.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, a retired

Norbert and Bessiee Bourgeois Bonvillain Sr.; and one brother, Norbert J. 
Bonvillain Jr.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 
Post No. 3700 and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

BLAIR, CLARENCE 

Clarence A. Blair, 73, a native of Rogers, Ohio, and resident of Mobile.
Ala., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1997 

A graveside service with full military honors was held Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997 
at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, Miss.

He is survived by his wife. Betty Gustafson Blair; two daughters, Terri Davis 
of Mobile, and Sandi Blair Chauvin of Thibodaux; one brother; two sisters; and 
three grandchildren, Brian and Kristi Davis, both of Mobile, and Jody Blair 
Stroud of Thibodaux. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Clark Blair;
one daughter, Heidi Jo Blair; two brothers; and three sisters.

He was a retired U.S. Air Force chief master sergeant of 26 years serving in 
World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a  member of the 
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1736 in Alexandria and a member of the 
Disabled American Veterans.

Guidry was 80.

Guidry was a past president of the Lafayette Association for Retarded Citizens 
and a charter member of the state association.
Guidry was a charter member of the Terrebonne Genealogical Society, a member of 
the Camival Club of Houma, a volunteer fireman, scoutmaster and president of Our 
Lady of Fatima Ushers Society in Lafayette for 40 years.

Guidry is survived by his wife, Nellie Marie Pendas Guidry of Lafayette: one 
son, Jeffery P. Guidry Jr. of Broussard; one daughter, Diana Lee Guidry of 
Lafayette; four brothers, Leroy, Clifford, Percy and Maurice J. Guidry, all of 
Houma; two sisters, Lillian Matheme of Houma and Geraldine Doiron of Theriot; 
and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Domingue and Wilda Guidry.

Dr. J. Milo Aitkens, 72, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday, Feb.
23, 1997.

He was the first pediatrician to open a practice in Houma.
"He was a very nice man. He was extremely bright, very kind and really was very 
very attentive to his patients" said Dr. Guy J. Waggenspack, a retired 
pediatrician, who had known Aitkens since 1961.
"He was a good doctor. He took the care of his patients to heart, and he went 
out of his way to care for them.
The patients were really very loyal to him and appreciated everything he did for 
them. He was a really a dedicated pediatrician. And he was a good colleague, and 
I enjoyed my association with him."

Visitation will be from 8 am. to funeral time Wednesday at First Presbyterian 
Church in Houma.

Funeral services will be at 11 am, Wednesday at the church, with 
burial in Magnolia Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Moore Aitkens; two sons, Larry Milo and

Patricia A Kennedy, 62. a native of Texas and former resident of Houma, died at 
8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997 in Texas.

She is survived by her mother, Wllie Mae Harper of Houston; one son, Joey 
Kennedy of Birmingham, Ala.; two daughters, Sharon Kennedy Collins and Kelli 
Kennedy Farmer, both of Houma; three brothers, Bobby Lee Harper of San Diego, 
James Richard Harper and William Edwin Harper of Houston; four grand-
children; and four great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Harper.

She was a member of Sage Mount Baptist Church in Houston.

She was a long-time employee of the banking community.

Simmons, all of Houma, Mildred N. Bush of St. Rose and Cheiilyn D.Taylor of 
Atlanta, Ga.; and five grand-children. 

He was preceded in death by his parents George Netter and Mary Dickerson Netter; 
one brother, Earl Nolan Netter; and two sisters, Margaret N. Williams and Joyce 
N. Cook.

He was a member of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Esther Carline and Beulah R. Theriot; four grandchildren; seven step-grand-
children; and three step-great-grand children.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nelia Simoneaux Rivero; his second 
wife, Beulah Theriot Rivero; his parents, Francis and Angeline Albarado Rivero; 
three brothers, Norman, Harringly and Ernest Rivero; and two sisters, Grace 
LeBlanc and Marie Hebert.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

She is survived by one son, Herman Terry "Buzz" Sullivan of Houma; two 
daughters, Mrs. W.E. (Reta) Kinyon of Weatherford, Texas, and Mrs. Leo (Linda) 
Bashinsky of Chelsea, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Harmon (Margaret) Alley and Ione 
Jordan, both of Jackson, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Taylor Sullivan; her parents, 
John Giraut and Emma Jordan; three brothers, W.E., Bamey and Otis Jordan; and 
one sister, Lura McCaffrey. 

She was a retired registered nurse, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist 
Church in Houma.

He is survived by two sons, Patrick Trahan of Bourg, and Gene Trahan of Algiers;

Bourg, and Mrs. John (Deloris) Sevin of Chauvin; one brother, Horace "Bill" 
Trahan of Houma; one sister, Doris Bergeron of Houma; 16 grandchildren; and 21 
great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Mary Bourg Trahan; his parents, John 
and Augustine Authement Trahan; one daughter, Mary Trahan; six brothers, Davis, 
Morris, Nicholas, Andrew, lindsey and Elie Numa Trahan; two sisters, Roselia 
Gautreaux and Rebecca LeBoeuf; and one grandchild, Consuelo Thibodeaux.

He was a retired commercial fisherman, a former volunteer fireman for the 
Montegut Fire Department and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
