After that organization became the Terrebonne Arts and Humanities Council, she and her husband helped sponsor its summer concert series. Hewas 55. LOOP was the first offshore oil port designed to handle oil super tankers in Louisiana. As general manager, Keating was responsible for overseeing operations at the company's South Lafourche offices. A native of LaPlace and re sident of Cut Off, Keating was also an important part of the Lafourche Parish business community. Charlotte Riche, director of the Chamber of Lafourche and the Bayou Region, said Keating was dedicated to the chamber's goals and mission. Keating was chairman of the chamber board in 1998. "It is a tremendous loss to the business community and to all of us personally," Riche said. "He led the chamber at a time of continuing growth." DANIEL OLIVIER Daniel Joseph Olivier, 80, a native of Franklin and resident of Baton Rouge and Thibodaux, died Monday, March 29, 1999. Visitation will be from 2 to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at lbert's Mortuary in Franklin. The Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Franklin Cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Dan Forest Olivier of Thibodaux, and Jon Paul Olivier of Houma; one daughter, Mary Alyce Olivier of Knoxville, Tenn.; one brother, Julian "Juno" Olivier of Groves, Texas; two sisters, Marguerite Olivier and Claire Porretto, both of Houma; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Guidry Olivier, his parents, Dossillian and Isabelle Becnel Olivier; one brother, Thomas Olivier; and one son, Joseph Olivier. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps World War 11 veteran and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Thibodaux. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association. CORRECTION Obituary information provided by the funeral home for Sunday's Courier omitted several relatives of James Lamar Smith. He is survived by a brother, Clyde Smith of Chesapeake, W. Va.; six children; and three great grand-children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertie Meko Smith; one sister, Louise Bendon; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
