He is survived by his wife, Shari Dailey; one son, Dwayne John Beason of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Donna Jean Beason Warciski of Baton Rouge; two stepdaughters, Nikki Renee and Ketti Denee Chaisson; two brothers, J. Watt Beason of Houma, and Stephen Beason of Schriever; two sisters, Margaret Elaine Mooney of Donner, and Cheryl Dover of Houma; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Bessie Marie Toups Beason. He was a retired self-employed electrician, a War veteran and a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church. HAZE FIELDS Haze Anthony "Smokey" Fields, 80, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, May 30, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Emily Champagne Ledet two sons, Gary Paul and Emile Joseph Ledet Jr.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dianne LeBlanc Ledet; two sisters, Lorraine L. Bernard and Earline L. Dufrene; and one grandchild. He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church. ALINE MELANCON Aline Doucet Melancon, 47, a native of Galliano and resident of Leeville, died Saturday, May 29, 1999. Defelice. He was a fisherman and a craftsman. ALBERT SOUZA Albert Norman Souza, 71, a native of Fall River, Mass., and resident of Houma, died at 2 a.m. Monday, May 31, 1999. Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Samart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial in Rogers Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Hebert Souza; one son, Albert Souza Jr.; two stepsons, Terry Voisin and Race Addington; one stepdaughter Rebecca Creppel; two brothers, Thomas and John Souza; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel B. and Belmira Raposa Souza; and two sisters, Helen Souza and Irene Hutchinson. He was a retired carpenter.
