Little grew up in Mobile, Ala., where he graduated from Murphy High School. He served as a first lieutenant in World War II with the parachute field artillery, and as a liaison pilot. He was also in the second wave that landed at Corrigador. After the war, he worked for Waterman Steamship Corporation in Mobile and New Orleans. He moved to Franklin in 1956, taking a job at Teche Federal Savings & Loan Association, where he served as loan officer, appraiser, secretary-treasurer, manager, president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board, the position he held when he died. He was involved in the formation of Teche Holding Co., the parent company of the bank; the holding company is traded on the American Stock Exchange. Little was involved in many civic activities, helping to build the first swimming pool in Franklin, the West. St. Mary Chamber of Commerce, the Franklin Rotary Club for 17 years, serving as its president at one point, and the St. Mary Chapter of the Louisiana Landmarks Society. He was a king of the Krewe of Sucrose and served on the board of directors of the Franklin Carnival Club. In 1998, Little received the Golden Service Award from the West. St. Mary Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, and, among o ther things, underwrote the publication of a cookbook for the Episcopal Church Women of the Southwest Deanery. The Rev. Francis T.
