from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Francis de Sales 
Cathedral. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial 
in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Roth and wife, Jean, and Harry Roth 
and wife, Faye, of Houma; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel Francis Roth; her 
parents, Samuel Mathews and Geraldine Solomon Mathews; and one sister, 
Lucille Bailey.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Ellendale Country Club and a 
parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

Earline Thibodeaux Champagne, 77, a native of Larose and resident of 
Raceland, died at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003.

Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at St. Mary Catholic 
Church in Raceland, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Michael Champagne; two daughters, Joy C. 
Ledet and Jody C. Verret; one brother, Ambrose Thibodeaux; two sisters, 
Elma T. Plaisance and Rose T. Rousse; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O'Neil Champagne; her 
parents, John Raymond Thibodeaux and Rita Gros Thibodeaux; and one 
brother, Ulysses Thibodeaux.

Olive Valerie Duplantis Guidry, 87, a native of Terrebonne Parish and 
resident of Houma, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2003.

Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Holy Rosary 
Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by one son, Errol Guidry and wife, Sybil, of Houma; one 
daughter, Jessica Hebert and husband, Buddy, of Houma; five 
grandchildren, Denise Forbes, Nichole Crochet, Amy Martin Galbraith, 
Justin Hebert and Grant Hebert; and three great-grandchildren, Michael 
Guidry, Simone Crochet and Alyssa Crochet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Pierre Guidry; her 
parents, Albert Duplantis and Eva Bergeron Duplantis; two brothers, 
Albert "Abby" Duplantis and Lindsey Duplantis; and four sisters, Ruby 
Duplantis, Mae Sevin, Hilda Smith and Ernie Dupre.


She was a homemaker, a member of the Holy Rosary La
dies Altar Society 
and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Bobbie "Joe" Maronge and wife, Blanche, of 
Dulac; one daughter, Anna "Susie" Baldone and husband, John, of Houma; 
two brothers, Myron Hebert and Charles Hebert of Dulac; one sister, 
Ethel Luke of Dulac; four grandchildren, state Rep. Damon Baldone, Dana 
Norman, Bobby Joe Maronge and Billy Joe Maronge; and four great-
grandchildren, Gabby Norman, Landon Norman, Kip Maronge and Justin 
Maronge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert "Man" Maronge; her 
parents, Sidney Hebert and Mary Bourg Hebert; four brothers, Ernest 
Hebert, Walton Hebert, Anthony Hebert and Vernon Hebert; and two 
sisters, Anna Mae Hebert and Zelta Hebert.

She was a retired courier/teller at Bank One and a parishioner of Holy 
Family Catholic Church.

Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores Marie Savoie Picou of Bourg; two 
sons, Calvin J. Picou Jr. and wife, Rachel Holbrook Picou, of 
Schriever, and Gary M. Picou and wife, Roxanne Grow Picou, of Montegut; 
one brother, John Picou of Montegut; three sisters, Maggie P. Ogell, 
Winnie P. Thibodaux of Houma and Hazel P. Picou of Houston; six 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Picou and Viola 
Chiasson Picou; one brother, Justin Picou; and two sisters, Thelma P. 
Acosta and Shirley P. Crothers.

He was a retired shrimper and a member of the VFW. He was a disabled 
U.S. Army veteran in the Korean War.
He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.

Rose Pierce and Willaria Chiasson; seven grandchildren; 15 great-
grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Remie Toups Sr. and Angelina 
Gisclair Toups; one son, James "Tips" Toups; four brothers, Remie Jr., 
Loris, David and Noles Toups; three sisters, Leona Anselmi, Noiscia 
Duet and Elechia Bouffanie; and two grandchildren, Jennifer Toups and 
Dean Toups.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
