Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Liturgy of the Word Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by two nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Hackel and Rose Saik Hackel; two brothers, Willie Hackel Jr. and Michel Hackel; and two sisters, Emily Hackel Poche and Celina Hackel Bergeron. She was a retired clerk with Louisiana Department of Conservation and was a former employee of the Houma Courier. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
