Dorothy Mae DeRouen Schexnayder, 74, a native of Sulphur and resident of Houma, 
died at 12:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2004.

She is survived by her husband, Harold A. Schexnayder of Houma; three daughters, 
Linda Schexnayder, Tina Belanger Gilmer and husband, Mike, of Houma, and Sue 
Babin of Wilmington, Del.; eight grandchildren, Eric Babin, Corey Guidry, Chris 
Guidry, Kyle Guidry, Joshua Belanger, Rebekah Belanger, Kelli Frederick and Lori 
Babin; and three great-grandchildren, Jaden Guidry, and Taylor and Paige 
Eschete.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Aspazie Borel DeRouen; 
three sisters, Ada Latta, Aline Perry and Willie Mae Pellegrin; and three 
brothers, Vernice, Lucius and Dallas DeRouen.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
