Gloria Lee Jackson, 68, a native of Houma and resident of New Orleans, died 
Monday, Aug. 16, 2004.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Historic Second Baptist Church in 
New Orleans. Services will be at 8 p.m. today at the church. Religious services 
will be at noon Saturday at New Salem Baptist Church in Houma, with burial in 
Southdown Cemetery.

She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Simmons of Houma and Michael Simmons of 
Donaldsonville; one daughter, Carolyn Allen and husband, Michael Sr., of Houma; 
one sister, Edna Jackson of New Orleans; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Lilly Jackson; one 
daughter; three brothers, Earl, Alvin and Jimmy Jackson; and three sisters, 
Elnore J. Jackson, Julie J. Jackson and Pearl Jackson.

She was Baptist.
