Gloria Jennewine Ward, 79, a native of New Orleans and resident of Gray, died at 
7 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 
a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 
11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

She is survived by six sons, Thomas Alex Ward Jr., Michael David Ward, Alan Lee 
Ward, Kerry George Ward and wife, Ellen, Richard Bliss Ward of Houma and Don 
Loren Ward and wife, Jeannie, of Brookhaven, Miss.; and six grandchildren, Sean 
Ward Fishbein, Lauren Ward, Layla Ward, Jordan Ward, Alex Ward and Ian Maynard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alex Ward Sr.; her parents, 
James Jennewine and Ruth Boudreaux Jennewine; one son, James Thomas Ward; and 
two sisters, Ruth Hardeman and Margaret Jennewine.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
