Hartward Dufrene					[Photo]


Hartward Joseph "Shnook" Dufrene, 79, a native and resident of Gheens, died at 
9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the 
church, with interment in the Resurrection Mausoleum.

He is survived by one son, Daniel and wife, Effie C. Dufrene; two daughters, 
Lana and husband, Terry, Dufrene and Phyllis Dufrene; 10 grandchildren; 13 
great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Marie Matherne Dufrene; his 
parents, Wilfred Louis and Felicie Bernadette Fonseca Dufrene; and two 
brothers, Herbert Anthony and Hubert Paul Dufrene.

He was a retired welder from Bollinger Shipyards Inc. for more than 30 years.

He was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
