Hilda Lofaso						[photo]

Hilda Mary Dumez Lofaso, 96, a native of Edgar and resident of Houma, died at 
7:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Gregory 
Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in 
St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by one son, Gerald and wife, Dolores Lofaso of Baton Rouge; two 
daughters, Rosary and husband, Bert Guidry, of Bedford, Texas, and Betty Jean 
and husband, John Shutts, of Houma; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lofaso; her parents, Eugene and 
Hester Jones Dumez; two brothers, Eugene and Bryan Dumez; and two sisters, 
Thelma Duplantis and Rosadelle Melancon.

She was a retired registered nurse.
