Joseph Becnel						[Photo]


Joseph "Leopold" Becnel, 71, a native and resident of Vacherie, died at 3:23 
p.m. Friday, July 30, 2004.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Our Lady of the Peace 
Catholic Church in Vacherie. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 
with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Folse Becnel; two sons, Michael Becnel and 
wife, Cheryl, and Keith Becnel and wife, Carrie; four brothers, Maurice Sr., 
Gustave and Patrick Becnel and Johnny Harmon; four sisters, Beulah Triche, 
Adelina Legendre, Gloria Stein and Ann Mary Harmon; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roselius and Fanny Dempster Becnel; 
and one brother, Francis Becnel.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Peace Catholic Church.
