Kenwood Evans						[Photo]


Kenwood Glen "Wood" Evans, 49, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Community Funeral Home Chapel. 
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with burial in 
Morgan City Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Sims Evans of Houma; his mother, Bernie L. 
Evans of Columbus, Ga.; two sons, Jonathan Evans and wife, Chantelle, of 
Patterson and Jarvis Evans of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Yarnell Evans of 
Houston and Kim R. Evans of Lancaster, Calif.; six brothers, Reuben Evans Sr. 
and wife, Fannie, of Morgan City, Kenneth Evans Jr. of Franklin, Tommie, David 
Sr. and Barry Evans Sr. and wife, Wanda, all of San Diego, and Sgt. Cornelius 
Evans and wife, Tiffany, of Fort Benning, Ga.; four sisters, Sandra E. 
Charlotte and Ursula E. Simon, both of San Diego, Sybil R. Evans of Atlanta and 
Adrianne E. Belton and husband, Lamar, of Glenside, Pa.; and five 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth G. Evans Sr.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam era.
