Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from noon to funeral time Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his parents, Kimberly Joan Duplantis Chafin and James Chafin of Houma; three sisters, Megan Joan Naquin, Emma Anne Chafin and Caroline Elizabeth Chafin of Houma; and his grandparents, Gerald and Judith Duplantis and Roland Naquin of Houma. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marguerite Naquin. He was a 2000 graduate of Terrebonne High School and attended Nicholls State University where he majored in pre-engineering. He had plans to attend Louisiana State University and graduate with a degree in electrical engineering. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin who adored his three sisters and godchild. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing and spending time at the lake with his friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Louis Infant Care Center. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
