Oliver Bourgeois Jr.

Oliver Joseph Bourgeois Jr., 85, a native of Morgan City and resident of 
Thibodaux, died at 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia Shaw Bourgeois; six sons, Oliver "Pookie" 
III, Robert, Richard, David, Francis and Lawrence Bourgeois; one brother, John 
Bourgeois; two sisters, Catherine Comeaux Kraemer and Elaine B. Daigle; and 12 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Joseph Bourgeois and Ida Hogan 
Bourgeois; one sister, Margaret B. Tate; and one granddaughter, Rani Bourgeois.
