Oscar Himel Sr.

Oscar J. Himel Sr., 88, a native and resident of Napoleon-ville, died Friday, 
Aug. 13, 2004.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Monday at Landry's Funeral Home in Napoleonville. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday 
at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville, with burial in the church 
cemetery.

He is survived by his friend and companion, Mable Baily; three sons and 
daughters-in-law, Oscar and Margaret Himel, Russell and June Himel and Paul and 
Wenda Himel; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Glenn Naquin, Carolyn 
and Vincent Saladio, and Paulette and Willard Wiggins; one daughter-in-law, 
Christine Himel; two sisters, Viola Allen and Lucille Hernandez; 14 
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and eight 
step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy B. Himel; his second wife, 
Mable C. Himel; his parents, Amadeo and Effie Himel; one son, Ralph Adam Himel; 
three brothers, Everette, Harry and Henry Himel; and one sister, Emily Sansoni.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Council on Aging in Napoleonville 
are preferred.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
