Rickey Bader Jr.

Rickey Jude Bader Jr., 24, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, died 
Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Hilary of Poitiers 
Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Janis Dufrene Giroir and stepfather, Terry J. 
Giroir; his father, Rickey J. Bader Sr.; two sons, Gavin Jude Bader and Cullen 
Adams; his grandmother, Mae Dufrene; two sisters, Jenifer Marie Bader and Sandy 
Lucille Bader; three step-sisters, Lacey Renee Giroir, Wendy Taylor and Cathy 
Taylor; one nephew, Gage Michael Gautreaux; and one niece, Sadie Nicole Henn.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Calvin "C.J." Dufrene; his 
grandmother, Yvonne Theresa Reese; one cousin, Gillian Marie Dufrene; and one 
uncle, Michael D. Bader.

He was a writer and composer of poetry and loved singing, playing the guitar and 
music. He was an avid golfer.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are preferred.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
