The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= August 06. 2004 12:00AM Rose Dufrene Rose Mary Leblanc Dufrene, 67, a native of Chocktaw and resident of Luling, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Sunset Cemetery in Bayou Gauche. She is survived by one son, Todd Dufrene; four daughters, Patricia Stanley, Cindy Breaux, Claire Matherne and Valerie Brown; four sisters, Agnes Galliano, Daisy Comardelle, Helen Menely and Theresa Evans; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her companion, James J. Dufrene Sr.; her parents, Norbert Leblanc and Clarice Hebert Leblanc; one brother, Van Leblanc; and two sisters, Clara Landry and Ruth Leblanc. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
