Sara Basye

Sara Jane Pitzer Basye, 82, a resident of Houma, died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at 
Kirk's Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green, Mo. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. 
Wednesday at the chapel.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Bayse and wife, Kit, of Houma, Dick Basye 
and wife, Beverly, of Columbia, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Dixie Bayse Kovar and 
her husband, John, of Fort Walton, Fla.; six grandchildren; six great-
grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Velma Carroll Pitzer and Roy P. 
Pitzer; her husband, Edwin Joseph Basye; one brother, Douglas Pitzer; one son, 
Edwin Bayse; and one grandson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 
220B Progressing Blvd., Houma, LA 70360.
