Valli "Val" McCann, 43, a native of Houma and resident of College Station, 
Texas, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral 
Home. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.

She is survived by her mother, Sybil Marie Roddy McCann of Houma; two sons, 
Nicholas P. Boswell and Shay P. Boswell of Texas; one daughter, Julia E. McCann 
Thompson of Texas; two brothers, Randal P. McCann of Carencro and Rhett P. 
McCann of Slidell; two sisters-in-law, Melva McCann of Lafayette and Mitzi 
McCann of Slidell; one grandson, Bryson P. Duplantis; two nieces, Samantha 
McCann of Slidell and Lauren Hue of Baker; two nephews, Scott McCann of Baton 
Rouge and Matthew McCann of Lafayette; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Francis McCann; and her 
grandparents, Gordon and Lillian Brunet Roddy, Holly and Clothilde Ayo McCann 
and Barlow and Lois Hohenssee McCann.

She was a computer technologist with Texas A & M.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
