Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home Chapel. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with burial in Southdown Cemetery. He is survived by one daughter, Angela Barrow of Houma; four brothers, Alexander Durkins III of Ethel, and Anthony, Stanley and Noel Durkins, all of Houma; four sisters, Zeovie Redmond, Elaine Austin and husband, Leroy, Laura Jones and husband, Ervin, and Dianne Scoby and husband, the Rev. Lloyd Scoby, all of Houma; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Carrie Johnson Durkins; his grandparents, Henry Tucker Johnson and Eva Gold James Johnson; his great- grandmother, Rachel James; one brother, Hayward Durkins; and one nephew, Harold Dwayne Matthews. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was Baptist. Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
