The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= September 09. 2004 12:00AM David Vial, M.D. David "Jerry" Vial, M.D., 76, a native of Hahnville and resident of Luling, died at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at First Union Presbyterian Church in Luling. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Charles Cemetery. He is survived by his first wife, Beverly Barre Vial; five sons, David J. Vial, Stephen O. Vial, J. Kenneth Vial, D. Frederick Vial, M.D., and L. Andre Vial; six daughters, M. Monica V. Benson, M.D., Lisa V. Prosser, Beverly V. Chester, Francesca Vial, Alicia Vial and Christina Vial; one brother, Leon C. Vial III; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Alice Grizzaffi Vial; his parents, Leon C. Vial Jr. and Lucile Lowe Vial; and one son, Leon P. Vial. He was a member of St. Charles Masonic Lodge No. 445 Consistory and Jerusalem Temple. He was St. Charles Parish coroner since 1967. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or St. Andrews Episcopal Church are preferred.
