Edward Pitre Sr.					[Photo]

Edward "Lu Lu" Joseph Pitre Sr., 91, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004.

Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 
a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass 
will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial 
Park Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Aurelia Galliano Pitre of Houma; five sons, Jean 
Pitre of Wyoming, Daniel Pitre, Edward Pitre Jr. of Houma, Jerry Pitre of 
Thibodaux and Ricky Pitre of Chauvin; two daughters, Lerna Picou and Judy Darcey 
of Houma; two brothers, Horace Pitre Sr. and Alvin Pitre of Houma; 26 
grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Euzelien Pitre and Agnes Trosclair 
Pitre; two sons, Sterling and Larry Pitre; one grandson, Kerry Pitre; four 
brothers, Lawrence, Clarence, Junius and Andrew Pitre; and three sisters, Gladys 
Pitre, Vivian Thibodaux and Florance Robichaux.

He was a retired laborer with Terrebonne Parish Government for 27 years and was 
a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
