Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Morning Star Baptist Church in Raceland. Religious service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Faye Marie Chambers of Raceland; two stepdaughters, Roberta A. Chambers White and Sandra Chambers Robinson, both of Houma; three brothers, Clifford Washington of New Orleans, Henry Williams and Albert Williams of Raceland; three sisters, Daisy Tolliver of Algiers, Julia Lewis of Killona and Maude Jones of Raceland; 13 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Chambers; her parents, Lucreda Hadley Washington and Major Williams; her stepfather, Wilton Matthews Sr.; two sons, Wilbert and Herbert; three brothers, Ulysess Williams, Anderson "Shorty" Williams and Wilton Matthews Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy Williams, Gladys Dallon and Lucille Reed; and one great-great-grandson. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, the senior choir and the Young Ladies Benevolent Association.
