Elzina Williams

Elzina Julia Forgues Williams, 87, a native of Barataria and resident of 
Thibodaux, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to service time today at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 
in Thibodaux. Religious services will be at 8 p.m. today at the church. 
Dismissal services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in 
Zion Memorial Garden Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Madelyne J. Williams Reed and 
Eugene Reed of Gray; three grandchildren, Gina L. Reed Williams, Gayla G. Reed 
Walton and Lauren B. Reed, all of Thibodaux; seven great-grandchildren, Anjhae, 
Darrion, Jadyn, Joshua, Miah, Logan and Caleb; five nieces, Naomi B. Forgues 
Howard, Lillie Trudeau Wright, Margaret Forgues Hunter, Thelma Forgues Cole and 
Beverly Forgues; two nephews, Leon P. Forgues and Clyde Forgues; and a host of 
great and great-great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Caswell P. Williams, her parents, 
Julia Petty and Michael Forgues Sr.; and her siblings, Michel Forgues Sr., Julia 
Petty Forgues, Mary A. Forgues Morris, Michel Forgues Jr., John I. Forgues, 
Elvina Forgues Johnson, Albert E. Forgues, Sadie E. Forgues Williams, Gladiola 
A. Forgues Fitch, Madeline I. Forgues Williams and James Forgues.

William and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
