The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= September 12. 2004 1:57AM Eula Barker [Photo] Eula Pennington Barker, 92, a native of Lockport and resident of Houma, died at 8:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2004. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Richard H. Barker III; two daughters, Marie Jean B. McKey of Baton Rouge and Mary Patricia B. Carey of New Orleans; one sister, Elizabeth Gibbens of New Orleans; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Eula Ann Barker, M.D. and her parents, Randolph and Mamie Pennington. She was a retired school teacher of Terrebonne Parish and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association KKI, the Terrebonne Literary Club, the Terrebonne Garden Club, the Study Club and a longtime parishioner of St. Frances de Sales. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Terrebonne Parish Library.
