The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= September 07. 2004 12:59PM Ferdinand Rogers [Photo] Ferdinand "Fuzz" Rogers, 66, a native of Montegut and resident of Bourg, died at 5:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, 2004. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Ann Community Center in Bourg. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Jabert Rogers of Bourg; his mother, Lucina Bourg Rogers Hutchinson of Bourg; two sons, Tommy Rogers and wife, Stephanie, and Dale Rogers of Bourg; one daughter, Louise R. Aucoin and husband, Ward, of Des Allemands; one brother, Earl Rogers of Montegut; one sister, Imelda Derise of Mermentau; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Ferdinand Joseph Rogers Jr.; and one granddaughter, Danette Rogers. He was a commercial fisherman and a member of the Montegut American Legion Post No. 0272. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family for services are preferred.
