"Bruce" Ledet, 91, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 11:06 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Lusco Ledet; four daughters, Pat and husband, Dr. Walt Bumgardner, Beverly and husband, Mike Melancon, Claudette Ledet Pitre and Debbie and husband, Paul Pitre; two sisters, Carol L. Falgout and Lula Mae Zeringue; and six grandchildren, John Paul Bumgardner, Rachel Bumgardner, Jeffrey Melancon, Gregory Melancon, Kimberly P. Price and Kelly Pitre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Annette Ledet; and two sisters, Myrtle Arcement and infant Irma Ledet. He was a pitcher for New Orleans Pelican Baseball Club and was a member of the Raceland Lions Club, Lafourche Green Trout Club and Sugar Belt League of Thibodaux. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
