Jonas James						[photo]

Jonas "June" James, 76, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, 
died at 9:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2004.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Pleasant View Baptist 
Church. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial 
in Southdown Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Lewis James; and three sisters, Pearl 
James, Margaret James and Evelyn Willis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adline Madison and Samuel James; and 
one brother, Lester James.

He was a retired longshoreman and a U.S. Army veteran.

He was Baptist.
