Maxine Collins						[Photo]

Maxine Brock Collins, 88, a native of Norman, Ark., and resident of Kenner, died 
at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004.

Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Friday at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 
Chapel in Metairie. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home 
chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie.

She is survived by one son, George J. Collins Jr. of Houma; one daughter-in-law, 
Jan Irwin Collins; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Brock and Josie Jones Brock; her 
husband, George J. Collins Sr.; two brothers, Floyd Jr. and Bill Brock; and one 
sister, Ruth Hartung.

She taught in the Jefferson Parish School System for 20 years and was a C.O.E. 
counselor.
