Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Cheavis Coleman; his father, Andrew Coleman; his stepmother, Myrdel Coleman; his grandmother, Naomi Coleman; two sons, Ritney L. Coleman Jr. and Dion K. Cheavis; one stepson, Hershel Lutcher; three daughters, Raneisha D. Coleman, Christy D. White and Quindalyn S. Cheavis; six brothers, Betrand Coleman and Marc Coleman, both of New Orleans, Perry Coleman and wife, Darlene, Jeffery Coleman of Boutte, Paul Coleman and wife, Sharon, of Fort Knox, Ky., and Gregory Coleman and wife, Leslie, of Atlanta; two sisters, Charlette Coleman of St. Rose and Charlene Coleman of Boutte; and four half- sisters, Jacqueline Gullage and husband, Gerald, Andrea Coleman, Antoinette Coleman and Tawana Marshall and husband, Kendall. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores B. Coleman; his grandparents, Celestine and Dorothy Brown and Eddie Coleman; and one brother, Carl Coleman. He was a rigger with Hutco.
