The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= October 25. 2004 12:00AM Adella Oglesby Adella Dantin Oglesby, 82, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004. Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. today at Samart Funeral Home in Cut Off and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Gerald "Mike" Oglesby; two daughters, Sue O. Boudreaux and Pamela O. Crosby; four brothers, Elvin Dantin Sr., L.J. Dantin and Leeroy Dantin, all of Baton Rouge, and Terry Dantin of Thibodaux; two sisters, Rosiana D. Lee of Houston, and Sophie Jane Langlinais of Dallas; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Oglesby; her parent, Ludovic and Oscalie Terrebonne Dantin; and one brother, Litton Dantin. She was a registered nurse for 43 years and was active in the Cursillo movement and was the treasurer of the Secretariat for 15 year. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
