Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Marcella Rome Ledig of Baker; one sister, Cecile Carrere Bergeron of Castleberry, Fla.; four grandchildren, John Rome Ledig III of Orlando, Shawn Rome Ledig of New Orleans, Chantelle Rome Broussard of Sulphur and Aaron Ledig of Port Allen; four great-grandchildren, Dakota Ledig, Seth Michael Ledig, Catherine Broussard and Nicholas Broussard; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Porche; her second husband, John Joseph Rome Sr.; her parents, Jean Pierre Carrere Sr. and Victorine Aimee Cenac Carrere; one son, John Joseph Rome Jr.; three brothers, Enis Carrere, Justilien Carrere and Pierre Carrere; and six sisters, Mrs. Sidney (Lydie) Luke, Mrs. Yancy (Josephine) Benoit; Mrs. Floyd U. (Frances) Ashley, Mrs. Sidney (Adenise) Aucoin, Leonie Carrere and Marie Inez Carrere. She was a retired nurse with Terrebonne General Medical Center. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
