Claire Fortmayer Roberts, 85, a native of Gretna and resident of Metairie, died at 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2004.

Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home. A memorial 
service will be held at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mass will be Monday at 
St. Ann Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Contact Chauvin 
Funeral Home at 868-2536 for funeral time.

She is survived by one son, Preston Carl Roberts III and wife, Priscilla; three 
daughters, Carol Ann Gumpert and husband, Kenneth, Della Marie Domangue and 
husband, A.J., and Courtney Claire Flores and husband, Michael; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Carl Roberts; her parents, 
Peter Edward Fortmayer and Mamie Kurtz Fortmayer; and 11 brothers and sisters.

She was a retired teacher and homemaker and a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic 
Church.
